POLICE PERFORMANCE, ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE, AND SOCIAL VIOLENCE IN CONTEMPORARY DEBATES

Abstract

The aim of this research was to analyze the impact of historically-constituted social violence on police action, as well as the respective impacts and repercussions on the lives of Public Security professionals. This was done by means of an exploratory-descriptive bibliographical survey of the existing literature, with a qualitative approach. The focus of the analysis is on the relationship between organizational culture and the influence of society on the subject, which ends up having a direct impact on the management of police activities, taking into account their functions and the relationship between this corporation and society.
