Introduction: The intersection between law and work has been a constant in the evolution of society throughout history. Since ancient times, human labor activities have given rise to a complex set of legal relations. As civilization progressed, factors such as the advancement of tools, the rise of capitalism, changes in legislation, and globalization shaped this relationship. Objective: the main objective of the research is to analyze the regulation of the legal relationship between employers and employees. Methodology: To achieve the proposed objectives, this summary is based on bibliographic research, using sources such as books, articles and specialized publications. In addition, it uses documentary research, including documents internal to organizations and relevant legislation. The analysis of relevant data, such as statistics of sick leave granted, helps in understanding the application of labor law in different contexts. Conclusion: The relationship between law and labor is an intricate narrative that has developed over the centuries, influenced by a number of historical and economic factors. Legal regulations, such as the CLT, have played a key role in defining the rights and duties of workers and employers. However, the application of these laws and the protection of workers' rights in the face of modern challenges, such as sick leave, remain areas of discussion and evolution in the field of labor law. Understanding this historical evolution and current regulations is essential to promoting fair and equitable labor relations in increasingly diverse contemporary societies.
