Abstract

This essay proposes to present Spinoza's thought and Nietzsche's philosophy as forms of knowledge that are found, according to Nietzshe himself, in a letter to Franz Ovcrbeck, July 1881, the German philosopher affectionately recognizes in Spinoza a precursor and a friend. therefore revealing similarities with his thinking. Considering that both thinkers disapprove of morality and ethics based on transcendent values, and also that they use affections, especially positive affirmation, as a source for overcoming our weaknesses. Thus, arguments will be presented that indicate the possible approaches that support the interpretations of a possible “Spinosan Nietzsche”.
