Faced with the crisis in legal education in Brazil, this article considers the importance of seeking solutions that can humanize and bring the training of jurists closer to the Brazilian social reality. The objective is, therefore, to present Literature as a tool for overcoming the crisis, by providing a more reflective and less automated teaching of Law. Therefore, a bibliographical research is carried out on the history of the Law course in Brazil, the factors that culminated in the crisis and the "Law and Literature" movement, as well as the relevance of the use of Literature in legal education. Finally, studies that show the role of Literature as an agent of critical and humanized training will be analyzed. It is based on the hypothesis that Literature can contribute to rethinking legal education, providing a more humanized and empathetic approach in the training of jurists, resulting in better prepared professionals to face the complexities of today, thus being a factor of overcoming the legal education crisis. This is because literature has an immense humanizing potential and, by exposing the reader to different realities, it instigates critical thinking, fostering the possibility of changes in Brazilian social reality. It is believed that this research can bring significant benefits to the training of jurists in Brazil, resulting in a more reflective, critical and humanized practice in the field of law.
