Immunoprevention in populations deprived of freedom is extremely important due to the crowded conditions of prison units, which favor the spread of infectious diseases. In addition, many individuals deprived of their liberty are at greater risk of exposure to infectious diseases and have less access to health care. This is an integrative literature review, with the character of a descriptive study and a qualitative approach, in which searches were carried out in the Virtual Health Library system of the Ministry of Health, using the following descriptors: Immunization, Prisoners, Vaccines against COVID-19 . Initially, 489 results were found without filters, and later the application was reduced to 32 studies, and of these, their titles resulting from the databases were read, leaving only 10 articles for the sample in the final qualitative synthesis. Through the searches carried out, it was verified that the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has drastically affected populations deprived of liberty around the world, which face additional challenges in the prevention and treatment of the disease due to overcrowding conditions, lack of infrastructure and access to adequate health care. Through this literature review, it was possible to verify that the prevention of COVID-19 in prisoners requires the implementation of protective measures that guarantee the health and safety of detainees, as well as employees working in prisons. It is crucial that the authorities work to implement these measures and ensure that the population deprived of their liberty is protected.
