The article addresses the crucial role of the Municipal Legislative Power and councilors in public policies aimed at guaranteeing social rights. Explores how councilors exercise legislative, representative, and oversight functions to ensure effective and inclusive implementation of social programs. It analyzes the ability of councilors to translate community demands into municipal laws, as well as their responsibility to monitor the Executive's performance, promoting transparency and efficiency in the allocation of resources. The article highlights the relevance of the role of councilors in promoting a more just and egalitarian society, where social rights are protected and strengthened through legislative actions and committed representation.
