Humanization has a transversal character for health care and is essential so that in the health disease process, professionals can mediate the factors triggered that may involve biopsychosocial aspects. It is in this direction that this work arises with the intention of contributing to the debate on humanization of care in the pediatric hospital context. Thus, the objective was to report the experience of the multiprofessional health residency program that contributes to the humanization of pediatric patient care. This report was built from the systematization and description of the main strategies used by the multiprofessional residency team, in the reality of a highly complex pediatric hospital in Ceará. Taking into account the impact of the actions of the multiprofessional residency for the humanization of health care, the relevance of this experience as a research object is evident.
