The acute abdomen should soon be defined as the presence of pain and abdominal sensitivity, being one of the most common causes in the urgent and emergency services of the Unified Health System - SUS, which always evolves with signs of severity. This study aims to refer through the scientific literature the most common findings as well as signs of aggravation of a case referenced through imaging tests in the city of Juazeiro da Bahia. In this context, the aforementioned case report, which presents with abdominal pain and classic clinical symptoms, presents signs suggestive of obstructive acute abdomen according to the imaging exams presented. Therefore, urgent therapeutic conditions must be taken in order to minimize the aggravations.
