Childhood leprosy, caused by Mycobacterium leprae in children and adolescents, causes neurological disorders and potentially irreversible complications in this population, with negative impacts on social construction, from self-esteem and school performance to the psychological profile. The proportion of multibacillary cases and frequency in the child population, does not differ from the occurrence in adults, can be highly influenced by genetic and environmental factors, nutritional status and vaccination. The high number of cases of leprosy in children under 15 years of age creates an alert to the importance of an early diagnosis of leprosy, for a possible decrease in transmissibility and injuries in this population, as well as greater implementation of public policies for this public. The present study aims to present a case report found at the UBS ANGARI, located in the municipality of Juazeiro - center, in the State of Bahia.
