Abstract

The International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA) is fundamental in the training of future doctors in Brazil. It provides unique opportunities for cultural, academic, and social exchange, enriching students' education and promoting humanized medicine. The paper highlights the importance of IFMSA in academic training, social engagement, and health promotion. The methodology is qualitative, with bibliographic review and analysis of institutional reports. IFMSA contributes to a comprehensive medical education, developing adaptation and empathy skills. It acts in social actions and health promotion projects, strengthening the social commitment of future doctors. In addition, it strengthens the medical student movement, giving students an active voice in the definition of educational policies and in the search for a fairer and more accessible health system. It is concluded that IFMSA is essential in the training of medical professionals who are aware of and engaged with the well-being of society and health globally.
