COVID-19 presented itself differently in some individuals of pedriatric population, manifesting itself with signs and symptoms similar to the so-called Kawasaki Syndrome, thus leading to the emergence of a new syndrome called Multisystemic Inflammatory Syndrome that descends from the study and association of both diseases. The databases used were Virtual Health Library, Scientific Electronic Library Online and National Library of Medicine, based on the descriptors: “mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome”, “covid-19” and “child” using the Boolean operator “and” . The filters used were journal Article, clinical trial, case report, articles published in English, Spanish, French and articles published in the period 2020-2021. A complete understanding of the elements related to epidemiology, pathogenesis, risk factors and genetic association has not been achieve. Among the consequences related to Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome we have that cardiac manifestations are recurrent, including myocardial involvement and coronary arteries that need to be recognized and controlled. Given the above, it is increasingly important to adopt a consolidated and universal framework to recognize the progression in stages of the MIS-C disease, so further studies are needed to better clarify this disease in order to understand its progression, possible sequelae and definition of a specific clinical management.
