This article aims to investigate the oral manifestations in patients with leukemia undergoing chemotherapy, analyzing their prevalence, association with the type of tumor and chemotherapy regimen, and the impact on the patients' quality of life. A bibliographical research was then carried out to identify previous studies on the subject, taking into account the works published in Google Scholar, in the time interval from 2010 to 2023. Based on the analyses, it was identified that the main manifestations observed were xerostomia and mucositis, which were associated with the type of tumor presented by the patient and the chemotherapy regimen used to treat this tumor. In addition, we found that these oral sequelae had a significant impact on the patients' quality of life, affecting food, sleep and self-esteem. However, the study has some limitations, including the small sample size and the lack of a control group. However, this research represents a valuable contribution to understanding the subject, highlighting the relevance of paying attention to the oral health of cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy treatment. This aims to improve the quality of life of these individuals throughout the leukemia treatment process.
