Cancer is a disease that is characterized by the disorderly growth of cells in tissues or organs, without a specific cause, and has become one of the main causes of death among children under 15 years of age. This study is a bibliographical review, with a qualitative approach, which aimed to identify the discussions that the area of pediatrics has in relation to palliative care provided by nurses in relation to children suffering from cancer. The results demonstrate that the palliative care of the nursing team professionals is a suffering process filled with many emotions and, for this reason, it requires attention also focused on these professionals. It is concluded that the palliative care provided by the nursing team is of paramount importance for the patient with oncological disease in all stages of life, especially when it comes to children. On the other hand, as the work of caring for a child with cancer in a situation of pain and suffering is an arduous task, the nursing team also needs care through multidisciplinary actions aimed at it.
