It is evident that education, in the context of inclusion, has been increasingly transformed and with that, it is imperative that every human being has this right. Objective: to analyze the pedagogical competence of students of the Physical Education course to carry out an inclusive teaching within the school environment. Methodology: it was treated as a field study, with a descriptive nature and a quantitative approach. 40 students of the Degree in Physical Education course from the 6th to the 8th period of a University took part in the research. Among those selected, those who participated in subjects on pedagogical practices and internships from the 2nd to the 8th period participated. As a data collection instrument, a questionnaire with 18 closed questions was applied and the data were analyzed using basic statistics (%), as well as presented in the form of tables. Results: it can be informed by the general perception of the academics that 77.5% reported that they have experience with people with disabilities, mainly with mental disabilities, 51.5% and motor disabilities, 39.4%. Conclusion: as a positive perception, most of this experience acquired with students with disabilities occurred during the mandatory internship, 78.1%, and as a negative perception, it was evidenced that 80% of the students did not participate in courses aimed at training with students with disabilities during the graduation. Thus, it is concluded that Physical Education students do not consider themselves prepared for intervention in the field of Adapted Physical Education.
