Research into the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in the treatment of tendinitis in horses is crucial to the advancement of veterinary medicine. It contributes to the development of standardized therapeutic protocols, improves clinical efficiency and disseminates updated knowledge to professionals in the field, contributing to the well-being and recovery of equine animals. Given the relevance of tendinitis in horses and the potential of PRP as an innovative therapy, this article aims to present the use of platelet-rich plasma in the treatment of tendinitis in horses. For the development of this research, we opted for the bibliographical review method, having articles available in the literature as a research source. It is concluded that the use of PRP represents an innovative therapeutic approach, which has the potential to significantly improve the recovery and well-being of horses affected by tendonitis. With continued advances in the field, it is expected that PRP will become an increasingly accessible and effective therapeutic option, contributing to the successful treatment of tendonitis in horses and promoting the health and performance of these valuable animals.
