The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has had a significant impact on all aspects of society, including education. Early childhood education was particularly affected, with schools closed, activities suspended and the need to adapt to remote teaching. Now, with the gradual resumption of face-to-face activities, it is essential to discuss the challenges and opportunities of post-pandemic early childhood education, with a view to ensuring adequate development of children in this age group. It is important that educators, parents, governments and society at large work together to address these challenges and take advantage of opportunities to improve early childhood education in the post-pandemic scenario. The focus must be on the well-being and integral development of children, ensuring that they have the necessary tools to become healthy, happy and well-prepared adults for the future.The objective of this work is to present the challenges faced in post-pandemic early childhood education and point out the opportunities that arise through the use of technologies in early childhood education.The methodology used in the development of this project was a bibliographical and documental, descriptive and qualitative research, where there was no limitation due to the vast literature around the chosen theme.It is estimated that this study can contribute to the work of specialists in early childhood education, to act in the most diverse adversities.
