The use of Renewable Sources has been growing more and more in Brazil due to numerous factors, among them, globalization, which has brought with it an increase in the demand for electricity through technological advances and with it the need for other sources of energy to be explored every day. more and more, in addition to those already habitually used, to meet this growth. The strengthening of renewable sources enables national development, making Brazil one of the pioneers in the generation of clean energy. Wind Energy is part of this range of inexhaustible energies present in Brazil and plays a fundamental role in the country's development in the socioeconomic scope and in environmental issues. This article aims to highlight the importance of Wind Energy in the Brazilian electricity scenario through a Bibliographic review based on data from articles, magazines published on platforms such as Google Scholar and Scielo, pointing out the main advantages and disadvantages, as well as the future perspectives of this sector.
