ANÁLISE DOS ACIDENTES DE TRABALHO EM UM MUNICÍPIO INDUSTRIAL DO CEARÁ

Introduction: Work is a fundamental part of people's lives and understanding that any and all work activity is subject to risks and injuries is a must in formulating actions and services aimed at workers' health. Objectives: This study aims to analyze work accidents in an industrial municipality in Ceará. Methods: This is a descriptive research, with documentary data collection and quantitative analysis, through notifications of accidents at work in the years 2018-2019, in the Information System of Diseases and Notifications. Results: 67 notifications were found, where 64.18% corresponded to Serious Work Accidents and 35.82% to Accidents with exposure to biological material. The young and brown population was the most affected, representing 97.67% of serious accidents and 79.16% accidents due to exposure to biological material. As for the occupation of the victims, among serious accidents at work, 20.93% were machine operators, 11.63% bricklayers and 9.30% production assistants. As for those injured with biological material, 100% remained healthy and of these, 33.33% were Nursing Technicians and 29.17% were interns. In, the hand was the most affected region, followed by the two lower limbs. Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a lack of actions aimed at preventing and promoting workers' health in the municipality and there is still a long way to go to achieve comprehensive care for workers' health.
