FEMINICIDE: AN ANALYSIS OF THE REALITY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TERESINA DURING THE PANDEMIC PERIOD

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the incidence of the crime of feminicide during the pandemic period in the city of Teresina. The following specific objectives were delimited: to understand the problem of violence against women in a historical way in Teresina; analyze the homicide qualified by feminicide according to Brazilian legislation and verify the legal provisions that aim to curb, prevent and punish violence against women before and after the pandemic period. This is a study based on the dialectical method, which is done through a documentary and bibliographic survey through searches in the Scielo and Google Scholar databases, based on the selection of articles that address the theme of violence against women and their panorama in time of pandemic.
