The present work aims to demonstrate the possibility and necessity of providing reasoning for the votes of the jurors in the decisions rendered in the Jury Trial, which is composed of members of society who act in the role of judging intentional crimes against life. It is true that the individual in the position of a judge will rely on guiding criteria in the decision-making process and, consequently, will be exposed to conflicts arising from their own human characteristics, ultimately affecting their stance in the decision made. Thus, the reasoning behind decisions becomes necessary in order to avoid arbitrary decisions, seeking to ensure that the process achieves its purpose in a clear and concise manner. The methodology adopted is bibliographic and inductive review.
