Abstract

In a vetenary center were applied 75 questionnaires to dogs and cats tutors from January to March of 2023, investigating their knowledge about verminoses that might affect their domestic animals and then the coproparasitological examinations were made. Among the results obtained, it was noted that the owners have a low knowledge about virminoses (transmission forms, zoonotic potential, treatments, relationship with the animal's development) and in the coproparasitological with the use of the methods of Wiilis Mollay and Hoffman had the higher prevalence of the genus Ancylostoma sp. (73.33%). For the positive results of the parasitological examinations were prescribed the appropriate medication against the parasite found.
