This article sought to analyze the effectiveness of using GNRH at the time of TAI (Fixed Time Artificial Insemination) in cattle. For this, a literature review was carried out in specialized databases, selecting studies that evaluated the use of GNRH in FTAI protocols in cattle. The methodology used was a systematic review of the literature, which included studies that evaluated the conception rate and estrus synchronization in FTAI protocols that used GNRH. The results found indicated that the use of GNRH at the time of TAI can increase the rate of conception and estrus synchronization in cattle, compared to TAI protocols that do not use this substance. Furthermore, the ideal time for GNRH administration has been identified as being 24 hours before insemination. Based on these results, it is concluded that the use of GNRH at the time of FTAI can be an effective strategy to increase the conception rate and estrus synchronization in cattle, which can have important implications in improving the productivity and profitability of properties that work with animal reproduction.
