This article sought to develop and technically evaluate a desktop sales control system for small retail businesses in an Amazonian municipality with low digital maturity. The research, qualitative, exploratory and descriptive in nature, started from direct observation of sales and inventory routines in six establishments, which yielded ten functional and six non-functional requirements. The system was modeled in Unified Modeling Language (UML), prototyped and implemented in Python, with a Flet interface and an SQLite database, without depending on an internet connection. Two test rounds, conducted by the authors themselves with simulated data, showed, in unit testing, 84% function coverage and 82.44% of the tested functions without defects and, in functional testing, 90% scenario coverage and 83.33% without defects, with three failures, including the CSV (comma-separated values) report export. It was concluded that the system, which runs on Windows, shows preliminary technical feasibility; fixing the defects and validating the system with real users remain as future steps.
