Carotid stenosis constitutes an important risk factor for cerebrovascular events, with revascularization being indicated in selected patients. This study aimed to evaluate the distribution of carotid revascularization techniques used at a vascular clinic in western Paraná between 2015 and 2024. This was an observational, retrospective, and descriptive study conducted through the analysis of 163 medical records of patients who underwent carotid revascularization; 153 records were included in the final analysis, after excluding 10 records due to inconsistent data, with n=152 procedures related to atheromatous plaques and n=1 patient treated for a carotid pseudoaneurysm. Age, degree of stenosis, laterality, and surgical technique employed were evaluated. The mean age was 73.62 years, with 81 angioplasty procedures with stenting and 72 endarterectomies performed. The majority of patients presented with stenosis greater than 70% (87.4%), and 63 patients were asymptomatic at the time of intervention. A slight predominance of interventions in the right carotid artery was observed. In conclusion, there was a slight predominance of angioplasty with stenting compared to endarterectomy, with a higher frequency of procedures in elderly patients and those with severe stenosis.
