This article presents a literature review titled "The Importance of Play in the Rehabilitation Process of Children Aged 0 to 10: A Neuropsychological Perspective." Play is crucial to child development—a role it has played in human life long before the first studies on the subject were conducted. The general objective is to analyze the importance of play in the rehabilitation of children aged 0 to 10 from a neuropsychological standpoint. Regarding the methodology used to organize the research and present the literature review, a search for articles was conducted across indexed journal databases—primarily SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), Google Scholar, scientific books, the IPOG (Postgraduate Institute) Psychology platform, and the Virtual Health Library (BVS). The review highlights the authors' insights and contributions regarding the importance of play during early childhood stages and its role in the pediatric rehabilitation process. The study concludes that this topic is of utmost importance for the rehabilitation of children in this age group—specifically within the field of neuropsychology—and underscores the need for further research to expand knowledge on the subject.
