Abstract

The increase in screen time among school-aged children has raised concerns due to its possible relationship with reduced physical activity and increased sedentary behavior. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between screen time and physical activity levels in school-aged children. This is a literature review based on scientific studies addressing sedentary behavior, the use of electronic devices, and physical activity in children. The results indicate that prolonged screen exposure is frequently associated with lower levels of physical activity and increased sedentary behavior, which may negatively affect health and quality of life. Therefore, strategies aimed at reducing screen time and encouraging regular physical activity are important.
