Abstract

Mining is a strategic activity for the global economy, but it involves significant risks, especially those related to tailings dams. This article explores the importance of the Dam Safety Plan (PSB) as a tool for risk management, accident prevention, and operational sustainability. It discusses the evolution of regulations, monitoring methods, the implementation of contingency plans, environmental and social impacts, and the benefits for corporate governance.
