RELIGION AND THEOLOGY OF PROSPERITY: THE DOMINATION BY STULTIFICATION OF THE CONSCIENCES

Abstract

The article has the objective to analyze which measure the theology of prosperity reproduces his domination to the stultifying the consciences of its followers. Concerns a quantitative study, using the epistemology of the dialectical historic materialism, which realizes a empirical investigation alongside a devotes of a neo-Pentecostal church situated in the municipality of Belém (PA). The data collection instruments has the direct observation and the semi-structured interview. The research presented here and its results point to some paths: the prosperity theology reproduces its domination by stultifying the consciousness of its followers.
