"PHYSIOTHERAPY INTERVENTION IN THE REHABILITATION OF A PATIENT WITH CEREBROVASCULAR DISEASE: A CASE REPORT"

Abstract

Stroke is one of the leading causes of neurological disability worldwide, characterized by motor, sensory, and functional deficits that significantly compromise an individual's autonomy. Hemorrhagic stroke, although less prevalent, presents higher mortality and clinical severity. The main objective of this study was to organize the available evidence on physiotherapy interventions applied to hemorrhagic stroke victims, promoting the resumption of daily activities without limitations, with an emphasis on the recovery of functionality and the reduction of risks that may compromise the clinical picture. Conducted as a literature review, the research analyzed 23 scientific articles, and the results suggest that individualized interventions are highly effective in rehabilitation, improving postural stability and increasing functional independence, reinforcing the importance of physiotherapy in the rehabilitation of post-stroke patients, contributing to neuroplasticity and functional recovery.
