Abstract

Introduction: Parkinson´s disease is a degenerative neurological disorder that causes motor dysfunction, discovered and reported for the first time in 1817 by James Parkinson, it can cause lim tremors, muscle stiffness and bradykinesia generating limitations in actives of daily living. Treatment consists of pharmacotherapy, physiotherapy, encompassing a series of techniques for promote dual tasks for neural end motor situations. Purpose: Identify the applicability of promoting dual task exercise for patients with Parkinson’s disease. Method: Integrative literature review of a descriptive and analytical nature. This research work was a descriptive study with the preparation of a bibliographic review and used the databases of the PUMED and SCIELO platforms. The languages used were English and Portuguese. By combining the descriptors Parkinson's disease, dual task, rehabilitation, using the Boolean operators AND and OR. With the time window between the years 2014 and 2024, the following were considered: Clinical trials, randomized, experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical studies. Free articles, which contained at least two descriptors selected in the title or abstract and which presented full text. Results: A total of 70 articles were found in the search platforms: SCIELO, PUBMED between 2014 and 2024, within the Portuguese and English languages. Of these, 15 articles were selected and included in the research. Conclusion: CMDT training is capable of improving patients' gait, balance and cognition, as well as reducing the risk of falls and also assisting in the resumption of performing ADLs. The importance of dual-task activities for patients with Parkinson's disease was mostly evidenced, as they are simple activities, they are effective in the activities developed, with the aim of stimulating speech, movements, muscle stiffness, gait training and others, the vast majority of patients are elderly who require care.
