THE IMPACTOS OF OBSTETRIC VIOLENCE FROM THE NURSES' PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Introduction: Considering the impacts that obstetric violence can have on women's lives, this work highlights the importance of nursing care in the face of obstetric violence. Objective: Reducing the impacts caused by obstetric violence by identifying women's knowledge. Methodology: Study based on qualitative research, carried out through exploratory research. Analysis and discussion of results: It is of great importance that nursing professionals are trained in how to assist women, so that there is a reduction in the occurrence of obstetric violence, thus reducing its impacts. Conclusion: It is noted that many women are unaware of what obstetric violence is, and naturally adopt totally inappropriate and disrespectful attitudes during the care provided.
