Abstract

The influence of the media on verdicts is a significant challenge for impartial justice. This article presents suggestions to minimize this influence, such as the isolation of jurors, clear instructions to jurors, control of media coverage, and media education. Additionally, it proposes public policies and legislative changes, such as the revision of press laws, the creation of regulatory bodies, the implementation of transparency policies, continuous training for media professionals, and international comparison of best practices.
