THE USE OF STATISTICAL DATA TO MAKE DECISIONS TO COMBAT CRIMES INVOLVING WOMEN IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF VILHENA/RO

Abstract

This article aims to analyze statistical data relating to cases of domestic violence that occurred in the city of Vilhena between July 1, 2022 and July 1, 2023. Given the fact that domestic violence is a persistent problem that has been dragging on for decades, affecting thousands of women around the world, to address the issue we will explain the topic in order to demonstrate its historicity, going through the definitions of the terms that surround the problem, as well as the transformations of laws. Afterwards, we will show the current local situation and how the use of this data can be used to prevent crimes of violence against women. The work is based on previous studies on the topic and follows ABNT standards.
