Cochlear implantation is a therapeutic alternative for children with severe-to-profound sensorineural hearing loss, especially when conventional hearing aids are ineffective. This project aims to analyze the impacts of cochlear implants on oral language development, socialization, and the quality of life of children and their families. The research will be conducted using a quantitative approach, utilizing secondary data from the SIH/SUS and SIA/SUS information systems available via DATASUS. The study seeks to understand the benefits and challenges of this intervention, as well as the factors influencing rehabilitation success. It is expected that the results will contribute to a more humanized, interdisciplinary medical approach centered on the child and their family.
