The present work aims to discuss about the obligation of parents who were deprived of Family power in pay maintenance to ensure the interests of minor children. Although points are highlighted as alimony obligation in light of the Civil Code and the Statute of Children and Adolescents, as well as the institutional host. The development of this work occurred through bibliographic research and jurisprudence. At the end it was observed that parents should provide food to children, even after removal of the family power, with the focus of ensuring the interests of children as well as prevent those to benefit in some way by no longer having the legal bond of father and son. This provision still serves as a punishment for negligent actions committed by the minor's parents.
