INTERDISCIPLINARY INTERVENTION ON THE CITIZENSHIP OF A MUSLIM FOREIGNER: (IN)ADAPTATIONS OF AN IMMIGRANT IN BRAZIL-RECIFE-PE

Abstract

This work aims to analyze, from a case study, the mechanisms of insertion and marginalization of Muslim immigrants in Brazil in Recife-PE. In order to do so, it adopts as a bibliographic review of a group of authors of the human sciences who, directly or indirectly, dealt with the theme of foreigners. Secondly, we operate a delimitation in the bibliography in order to target a specific type of foreigner: we will discuss the (In) adaptations and social interactions that have occurred with the presence of Muslim immigration in Brazil. This procedure aims to provide conceptual frameworks and analytical frameworks to consider a current case study in the city of Recife.
