Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a field of computer science that seeks to create systems capable of performing tasks that require human intelligence. It manifests in various forms, such as machine learning and neural networks, and is present in our daily lives, from virtual assistants to medical diagnoses. Distance learning courses allow students to study anywhere and anytime, using the internet. This form of learning offers freedom and allows students to balance their studies with other activities. The field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to transform distance learning courses, offering new forms of learning and support to students. It can be used to create chatbots that answer questions, generate content recommendations, and provide automated feedback. The general objective developed was to explore the influence of Artificial Intelligence in the reformulation of distance learning courses, exploring its advantages and disadvantages. The theme of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in distance learning courses is relevant, as it examines how this technology can transform teaching and learning. AI offers opportunities to create learning environments more tailored to students' needs. The study was conducted through a bibliographic research. The readings carried out for the research allowed an understanding of current trends, benefits, limitations, and implications of using AI in the educational context. It is concluded that Artificial Intelligence has the ability to transform distance learning courses, offering new approaches to teaching and learning, tailored to students' needs.
