Neoplasms are an abnormal proliferation of cells that can be malignant when they spread in an invasive manner, causing metastases, which are responsible for thousands of deaths worldwide, including in Brazil, as well as in the South and Southeast regions. Metastases can settle in bone structures, such as the spine, which, when diagnosed early, facilitate their treatment. The study aims to analyze, in an epidemiological way, the population profile in which deaths due to malignant neoplasm of the spine prevail in Brazil and the state of Parana between 2014 and 2023. The data taken from the Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Sáude (DATASUS) were analyzed in a retrospective, descriptive and observational way, presenting a total of 4077 deaths due to spine cancer in Brazil, in the period from 2014 to 2023 and 321 in the state of Parana, with males aged between 60 and 69 years being prevalente in both territories analyzed.
