Abstract

Leadership plays a crucial role in the management of organizational conflicts, directly influencing team dynamics and organizational outcomes. This study investigates how leadership impacts conflict management. It is a qualitative and bibliographic research based on the review of scientific articles, books, and various documents addressing conflict management and the influence of leadership on its handling. The theoretical foundation presents concepts of conflicts, their causes and types, approaches to conflict management, as well as definitions of leadership, its styles, and its impact on conflict management. According to the authors, the leader plays a fundamental role in conflict management. For effective conflict management, a leader must demonstrate empathy towards employees. Managing conflicts in a way that maintains a healthy environment is crucial. Leaders with a democratic style are more effective in fostering a collaborative environment and mitigating conflicts, whereas authoritarian styles tend to intensify tensions.
