This article presents some aspects of the pre-colonial occupation of the central-north region of Paraná, based on the analysis of lithic material recovered at the Archaeological Site Tamarana 01, located in the municipality of Tamarana, on the border with the municipalities of Londrina, Mauá da Serra and Marilândia do Sul. The collection consists of 112 pieces, predominantly composed of flakes, found both on the surface and in the subsurface. By comparing the characteristics of the archaeological material with the bibliography about the pre-colonial occupation of the region, a discussion is established about the groups and traditions possibly related to the creators of this material, demonstrating the volatile nature of the occupation of this region.
