This article analyzes access to justice by military police officers in the State of Amazonas, from the perspective of specialized legal assistance provided by the Public Defender's Office (DPE-AM). The research is based on the assumption that police activity is part of a "Risk Society", where the gap between prescribed work and real work generates vulnerability that transcends economic criteria. The general objective is to evaluate the impact of the Legal Assistance Working Group for Military Police (GTPM) in mitigating the legal-functional vulnerability of these agents in Manaus between 2022 and 2024. The methodology adopted is qualitative and exploratory, based on bibliographical research (Beck, Dejours, Maia) and documents. The results indicate that the absence of state support generates legal uncertainty, "defensive policing" and socioeconomic losses for military families. It is concluded that the institutionalization of the GTPM as a Permanent Specialized Nucleus is a fundamental measure to guarantee parity of weapons, the protection of "citizenship in uniform" and the very efficiency of the Public Security System.
