Hemodialysis is a procedure that cleans and filters the patient's blood through a device, performing part of the work that the patient's sick kidney does not do. The work presents an analysis and discussion about Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD), exploring the concepts and their application. It is also about the hemodialysis process and its importance for maintaining the health of patients with CKD, as well as the appropriate medication and the importance of pharmacotherapy during the treatment of patients with renal impairment and the possibilities of adequacy and adherence. discuss the actions of pharmaceutical care used to improve the quality of life of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. To identify the incidence of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment in Brazil, define the types of drug treatment and how these treatments behave in patients undergoing hemodialysis. Determine changes in the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of various drugs, making the safe use of drugs, the selection of more effective and safer pharmacotherapy for the patient facing the renal function of a Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD), adequate use of drugs to manage uremic complications and comorbidities, in addition to performing dose adjustments. As a result, it is observed that most medication errors involving patients with CKD can be prevented by properly adjusting the dose of medication according to renal function.
