Abstract

As an adult, the population becomes more likely to have higher blood pressure. According to the World Health Organization (2020), cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in the world, accounting for 31% of global deaths. Arterial hypertension is characterized as a public health problem, and should be seen by the government as a priority to be worked on. It is necessary to provide greater attention to the contributing factors, implementing educational programs aimed at raising awareness, clarifying and monitoring the blood pressure levels of the population, so that, in this way, these problems can be minimized and have favorable effects in the long term.
