Abstract

Proper care of seniors in the imaging center is critical to ensuring a good patient experience as well as accurate exam results. In this sense, adequate preparation for the exam, access and mobility in the diagnostic center, communication and comfort during the procedure, adaptation of equipment and prevention of complications are crucial points to be considered by health professionals. Proper preparation includes clear and precise guidance on the procedure, avoiding unnecessary discomfort and anxiety. In addition, access and mobility in the diagnostic center must be adapted to the needs of the elderly, ensuring safety and comfort during movement. Effective communication with patients is critical to ensuring that they understand the steps of the procedure and feel comfortable during the exam. The adaptation of equipment for the elderly is also important to ensure the quality of the test results. Finally, it is important to prevent complications, especially in patients with pre-existing medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. Early identification of complications and prompt treatment can minimize damage and ensure a faster recovery. In summary, adequate care for the elderly in the diagnostic imaging center involves a multidisciplinary approach, which includes adequate preparation for the exam, adaptation of equipment, effective communication with the patient, prevention of complications and safe mobility.
