THE USE OF GLP-1 ANALOGUES IN THE TREATMENT OF OBESITY: A LITERATURE REVIEW

To analyze the benefit of the use of glp1 analogues in adults and adolescents, relating to dosage and medication. Thus,assessing the existence of weight loss or not to help fight obesity The methodological approach of this work is proposed to a compiled bibliographic research of qualitative approach and descriptive character through an integrative review of the literature in the databases National Library of Medicine, Virtual Health Library and Directory of Open Access Journals. The descriptors used were "Obesity" and "Glucagon-Like Peptide-1".Inclusion criteria were journal article, clinical trial, randomized or non-randomized clinical trials, case-control studies, cohort study, free access, published in English, Portuguese, Spanish, from 2018 to 2023 and age group 12 to 70 years. The results of the selected studies were evaluated and a comparative table was constructed, in which it is composed of the number of individuals addressed in the studies, year of publication, benefits of medication use, medication dosage and age group. In this way, the use of glp1 analogues has resulted in those obese patients, but only they alone do not help, it is necessary to implement the lifestyle change in these patients to better take advantage of the medicine.
