Abstract

Worldwide, the constant search for the body described as “ideal” - disseminated to the great masses by the media - has taken on unimaginable proportions. Thus, the frantic search for exercises that provide good results in a short period of time are at the top of the list related to the search for the ideal body, especially in the female public. From this perspective, many exercises adjust to the day-to-day routine and lack of time, including HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), which in Portuguese means High Intensity Interval Training. Based on the above, the objective of this article is to propose a literature review on the influence of HIIT on female body composition. Based on the various authors and studies analyzed, it was possible to conclude that regardless of physical condition, or age group, degree of obesity or sedentary lifestyle, with non-transmissible chronic diseases and syndromes, or with good health and physical fitness, HIIT demonstrates a great tool for significant change in female body composition, as well as aesthetic and functional body changes in general.
