The evaluation of wild animals is essential for the conservation of species and the maintenance of biodiversity. Ultrasonography has been a technique increasingly used in this evaluation, allowing the identification of pathologies and anomalies, as well as helping to detect pregnancies and determine the sex of the animals. In addition, ultrasonography allows the comparison between different species, helping to understand the anatomy and physiology of each one of them. However, the effectiveness of ultrasound in the evaluation of wild animals is still a subject little explored in the scientific literature, and further studies are needed to assess its accuracy and reliability. In addition, the use of the technique in wild animals may present additional challenges, such as the need for sedation or anesthesia to perform the examination. Thus, the evaluation of wild animals through ultrasound has great potential in the conservation and management of these species. However, further research is needed to improve its application and increase its effectiveness in detecting pathologies and anomalies, as well as in understanding the anatomy and physiology of these animals.
