Taking into account that individuals with cystic fibrosis undergo complex drug treatment, research is carried out on the impact of drug treatment on the lives of patients with cystic fibrosis, with the aim of promoting knowledge about the implications of drug treatment for mucoviscidosis . Therefore, it is necessary to conceptualize cystic fibrosis and its clinical repercussions, to relate the pharmacological treatment of cystic fibrosis with the patient's quality of life and to highlight the importance of the clinical pharmacist in supporting the cystic fibrosis patient. A literature review research is then carried out. In view of this, it appears that despite the notable advances in treatment that contributed to greater survival, the treatment, in a certain way, has presented some burdens for patients because it is becoming even more complex and costly, along with the advances. In this context, the quality of life factor starts to gain more evidence both among patients and among health professionals. In this context, the need to improve treatment by reducing its burden and negative impacts, gains space. In this way, the importance of actively including the pharmacist in the treatment team for these patients is reinforced, due to the different capacities of this professional regarding treatment management, a crucial factor for survival and quality of life of patients with cystic fibrosis.
