Sustainability is studied in the industry. This article aims to study the search for sustainability in the textile industry in Brazil and in the world. This is a descriptive research based on a literature review on the subject and a review of case studies in Brazil and in the world, searched on websites of companies focused on the fashion segment, whether textile industries, whether existing brands in the national and international markets. that gained prominence in the media. The results showed that there are, fundamentally, two actions already well established nationally and internationally: research focused on sustainable fabrics, fibers coming from different non-polluting materials and zero waste fashion, or zero-waste fashion, which uses diversified materials in fashion production in different countries, including Brazil. It was concluded that the already known fashion industry is looking for new ways to attract its consumers from the ideology of sustainability and other companies appear on the market already with attractive solutions for consumers who are more interested in contributing to the policies of protection of the environment and while keeping up with new designs.
