The new Coronavirus (Sars-CoV-2) is a virus identified as the cause of one of the respiratory disease first detected in Wuhan, China, and which after its rapid spread in various parts of the world, has come to be characterized as a pandemic. This article aimed to analyze access to water and its relationship with Covid-19, in addition to mentioning the importance of universalizing these resources. This analysis was based on the epidemiological profile of the virus, as well as the health profile in the state of Pará, more specifically, in the municipalities of Belém, Parauapebas, Santarém, Ananindeua, Marabá, Itaituba and Cametá. Therefore, it was noted that despite the existence of the National Basic Sanitation Law, universalization is still not a reality, especially for the North Region, when studies show that only 57% of the population receives the treated water service. In addition to taking into account, still, that a large portion is lost along the distribution. Finally, it is concluded that there is an uneven distribution of attention and sanitation coverage in Brazil and this inequality reflects the high impact for the prevention of the disease in vulnerable populations in the country.
